Inspection of a Historical Monument

High Technology at the Service of Our Heritage

Analyzing and caring for our heritage is of crucial importance to preserve our history, our culture, and our collective identity.

Discover how modern technologies, such as drone and robot inspection, transform the preservation of our heritage.

With in-depth and non-intrusive analysis, these tools preserve the integrity of historical buildings while facilitating their preventive maintenance. A combination blending tradition and innovation, guaranteeing the sustainability of our cultural heritage.

Lynxdrone has implemented specific intervention protocols adapted to the inspection of buildings and historical monuments to perfectly meet the needs of clients.

Context
In-depth analysis of the general condition of a church, in collaboration with different actors. The objective is to determine the required preservation works, if they prove necessary.

Detailed and High-Quality Deliverables
We accompany you with complete follow-up, ensuring that each step aligns with your expectations. Each project is unique, which is why our approach is personalized to meet your specific needs. At the end of the mission, the deliverables are presented and discussed to ensure your complete satisfaction.
Interior and Exterior 3D Survey

Digitizing a building via a 3D scanner allows for precise measurements to establish plans, sections, elevations.
This allows identification of certain pathologies in the structural domain.

Additionally, the resulting high-quality point cloud allows the construction of a digital model of the site, an essential tool for maintenance management.

Site Mapping
Site mapping by drone consists of flying over a defined area around the historical monument and capturing high-resolution aerial images. These images are then processed to create a detailed and precise map of the surrounding terrain. This type of deliverable is essential for obtaining an overview of the site, facilitating the planning of restoration projects, site management, and preservation of the historical environment.
Precise Building Inspection by Drone
Thanks to the flexibility and maneuverability of the drone, critical parts such as roofs, facades, and architectural elements can be examined closely without requiring scaffolding or heavy equipment. The sensors used by Lynxdrone allow achieving high precision on the order of 2 pixels/mm and thus identifying the smallest anomalies, even millimeter cracks.
3D Model Obtained by Photogrammetry
The 3D model obtained by photogrammetry is created from multiple aerial images captured from different angles of the historical monument. These images are processed to reconstruct a precise three-dimensional representation of the building in its current state. This type of deliverable is useful for in-depth analyses, restoration simulations, visual presentations, or communication.
Orthoimage of the West Facade
An orthoimage is a geometrically corrected image providing an exact and distortion-free plan view of this part of the historical monument. This orthophotograph allows precise measurement of the dimensions and features of the facade. It is especially useful for architects and engineers to document the current state, plan renovations, or analyze the architectural characteristics of the monument.
