Exploration and Rescue Drone

Exploring Hazardous Environments with Lynxdrone’s Specialized Drones

Exploration and rescue drones are essential for searching for victims and navigating hazardous environments inaccessible to humans or search dogs.

Equipped with thermal cameras, these drones facilitate victim location by detecting body heat. They also enable building mapping and dosimetric mapping, assessing radiation levels.

By accessing hard-to-reach areas, Lynxdrone’s drones significantly enhance rescue operations and the safety of responders.

This drone is the result of collaborative work with our partners, the NGO International Emergency Firefighters (Pompiers de l’Urgence Internationale).

The development of this drone was supported by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.

Context

The International Emergency Firefighters (PUI) is a French humanitarian association certified by the United Nations (UN), providing aid and assistance to countries affected by natural or humanitarian disasters.

Lynxdrone developed a drone for the NGO International Emergency Firefighters dedicated to exploring collapsed buildings and other hazardous environments in search of victims. Additionally, this drone ensures environmental mapping in the absence of GNSS and performs dosimetric surveys to ensure the safety of responders and search dogs.

Equipment
Specialized drone tailored to PUI’s needs (developed by Lynxdrone)
Solutions Perfectly Tailored to Your Needs
An Ergonomic and Customizable Interface
The control station interface was designed to perfectly meet the needs of PUI experts. Depending on the mission, the pilot can customize the interface.
Real-Time 3D Mapping
The “PUI” drone is capable of geolocating itself in the absence of GNSS and constructing a 3D map of the environment. Victims can thus be identified and geolocated using the drone, improving rescue operations and reducing risks for operators and search dogs.
